The SAN FRANCISCO
BAY WEIMARANER CLUB is made up of folks living mainly in the San Francisco
Bay Area who own Weimaraners. SFBWC is recognized by the Weimaraner
Club of America and sanctioned by the American Kennel Club to hold
AKC competition events for Weimaraners. Our goal is to maintain quality
standards of the breed and to enjoy our dogs in competition events
and other activities.
San Francisco
Bay Weimaraner Club sponsors two AKC Weimaraner specialty conformation
and obedience shows each year. The club also holds two AKC field trials,
one each in the Spring and Fall of the year. These events provide
an opportunity for Weimaraner owners to obtain AKC titles on their
dogs. Members also compete in AKC hunt tests, agility trials and tracking
events put on by other dog clubs.
For those members
who prefer not to compete in events with their dogs, the club offers
Weimaraner dog walks at various locations, sometimes at a beach, other
times on trails or in parks. Social events, picnics and workshops
are also offered to members throught the year.
A very informative
newsletter is published once a month giving information on area events,
club activities, member and dog successes and Weimaraners and dogs
in general.
If you have a
Weimaraner and would like to become involved in activities with your
dog, we invite you to join our club. This will also provide an opportunity
to meet other Weimaraner owners who enjoy their dogs.
